Committed to the design and production of cutting-edge scale model aircraft, FMS has dedicated an extraordinary amount of effort in the design of the Yak 130 V2 to ensure that it’ll also be at the pinnacle of model aviation. Finding a balance between scale and performance has always been a challenge, it took numerous prototypes, test flights and modifications to refine the Yak 130 V2 into its final form- FMS is confident that this is the most accurately defined Yak on the market today. Small details such as the plastic leading edge of the air intake, which reduces turbulent airflow and protects the air duct from debris, are implemented onto the airframe. The panel lines, cockpit interior, scale pilot and even the auxiliary fuel tanks are made with significant attention to detail. Even the way the aircraft is assembled has been optimized- with a screw-together airframe, it’s now possible to build the Yak 130 V2 in the time it takes to charge the flight battery. Utilizing the FMS 70mm 12-bladed EDF unit, Predator 3060-1900KV motor and an upgraded 80A ESC, the Yak 130 V2 has more than enough thrust to tackle the most demanding of maneuvers. Strong, upgraded metal landing gear set provide added support and strength to absorb the impact of less-than-perfect landings. All servos are pre-mounted and are optimized for this aircraft- ensuring absolute reliability and maneuverability. Don’t settle for any less than the best- FMS Yak 130 V2

To bring it straight to the point: This jet is fantastic, good quality, rock solid flying with a large speed spectrum, and amazingly smooth and easy to land.
The facts: Straight forward build with no bad surprises. Maiden flight only small trim adjustments were needed, (ailerons and elevator). I am still a jet newcomer and was surprised how nicely this bird is to land. I just used half flap deflection so far and every landing was perfect. (even easier than with some of my standard prop planes.) No elevator mix needed with flaps.
Points of attention are the correct CG. I use a 6s 3300 mAh battery (495 grams), positioned as far aft as possible. Flies great with this set-up. (flight time 4-4.5min)
Go for it, you won’t regret, even if you are a jet newcomer. Slow passes are easily possible and as well with absolutely no bad habits shown by the Yak. No difference in flying with or without attaching the fuel tanks.
Builds in minutes, fit and finish is extremely good, service from FMS was exceptional as always. Flying mine on a 6S 65C 3000 that fits under the hood perfectly and gives this scale EDF fantastic sport jet like performance. Got the ailerons on low rates and elevator on high rates and have a small amount of up elevator mixed in with full flaps. The only problem I have encountered is that it is so much fun to fly I ran out of battery on the 5th flight and had to make an emergency landing, so keep your flight times short of you like to push the envelope!! Outstanding aircraft, love the super scale and robust landing gear too - well done FMS!

Apparently FMS don't know.... Any other RCers have flap setup successes? Thanks.

OK 50% & 100% on the Dx8*. NOW. answer this question. How much measured deflection "on the flaps of the airplane" for 50% and for 100% (on the plane!) Thank you.
8 months ago by Yaak

I am using a Dx8 transmitter with a three position switch for flaps. There are no specifications listed in the manual. I need to know the flap deflection settings and flap to elevator mix rates. Thank you.
8 months ago by Yaak

Hi Yaak,

The recommended setting of flap is 50% and 100%.

Hi FMS, Im new at this.If I was to buy this model, what else would I need (radio, battery etc). )
9 months ago by loucas20

If you’re “new to this” and asking this type of question, this is definitely NOT the plane for you. You should be looking at something that is easier to fly and learn basic flight before considering this model.
